It is safe to use our products during pregnancy as Clarins products only have an action at skin level and the concentration and safety of the ingredients they contain are carefully monitored and assessed to ensure optimal tolerance. Nevertheless, we recommend that you consult your doctor if you have specific concerns.

Clarins was one of the first cosmetic companies to stop using ingredients of animal origin in its products. Clarins commitment to the protection of animals is also the reason why testing on animals stopped several years ago.

Consumer's health and safety is of paramount importance for Clarins and thus we are committed to complying with all applicable regulations in every country in which our products are sold to make sure that we deliver the safest and most appreciated products possible. To do so, we do not conduct animal testing on our finished products or ingredients except in exceptional cases, when required locally by law.

Clarins fully supports the development and global acceptance of non-animal testing alternatives. Product safety control is carried out on cell culture in accordance with substitute in vitro methods that are internationally acknowledged and approved by experts.Respect for animals remains one of our priority selection criteria when choosing raw materials. Once selected, such materials do not require further testing on animals and remain compliant with standards set down by law.

However, all materials used by the cosmetics industry can also be used by the pharmaceutical and food industries. These raw materials must therefore also satisfy legal and safety requirements as set down by the European Commission on the basis of tests carried out on animals.

My Clarins is free of all animal-derived ingredients like beeswax, carmine, lanolin, etc. Clarins has deliberately chosen to only distribute My Clarins to countries that do not require animal testing.
